How to replace anxiety with peace.

Anxiety is a feeling and it's very common in our nature. However, anxiety can be dangerous if it's not treated correctly. There are many options in the world like psychologist or psychiatrists many people look for help. Looking for help is the right thing to do, but we must seek guidance and help in the word of God. In the bible and in our relationship with God we can find the solution to this problem. Let's learn a little about how to replace anxiety with peace.

The word of God says in Philipians 4:6

Do not be anxious or worried about ANYTHING,

Anxiety is the equivalent of not trusting God. And in this verse we are called to not be worried about any thing. Nothing should be worrying us. Now, all the circumstances around us can lead us to that state if we don’t take care of it. When Paul says “anything” he means nothing without restrictions, no possibilities, no spaces, NOTHING!

Then, how we can replace or exchange the anxiety that invades us sometimes with a state of peace? The bible says that it is possible and give us a way. Philippians 4:6 says again:

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 AMP

How we do it?

We come to presence of God with prayer (that is our way of communicating with God, vital part of our relationship with Him). We express our petitions accompanied of thanksgiving (that is our way of asking God for His will to be done in us). Then, we make our requests known to God in a specific way.

All of this is part of an active life of prayer, we speak… We express… We make requests… We give thanks. This provides to us an outlet for anxiety. We liberated ourselves, we left the heavy burden that from the beginning we should not have carried. And instead of this, we receive peace that surpasses everything. Even if you are in the middle of the storm.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

May this be a way for all us who are in Christ to replace anxiety with the marvelous peace that ONLY God gives us.

Lead me in the Everlasting Way

Its 3:06 am and while I should be sleeping, I am here meditating in God’s word. Have you been talking to God recently? You know, sometimes the circumstances around us drained us, misleading us to other places rather than God’s presence. The way of the Lord is best, the guidance and lead of God in our lives is necessary. And, for that there must be a relationship with Him.

You know, sometimes the circumstances around us drained us, misleading us to other places rather than God’s presence. The way of the Lord is best, the guidance and lead of God in our lives is necessary. And, for that there must be a relationship with Him.

More than writing a post about a review, or about things I like, or about a few bible verses we should read, I’m here writing about some encouragement for you, because I have been encouraged by Him. Behind every blog there is a human being writing content to uplift others. That person also need some lifting up too.

While I was reading the book of Psalms I went directly to Psalms 139. A Psalm of David about God’s omniscience and omnipresence. It’s a powerful psalm about how God formed us, knows us, cares about us and lead us in the right path, because He already knows everything.

O Lord , you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar.
PSALM 139:1‭-‬2 AMP

Knowing and internalizing that God knows everything about gives me peace. Gives me rest. Gives me a real and clear understanding about God’s character. I know that if you read this Psalm right now, you will receive peace. And even, your thoughts about yourself can change drastically. Because if there still a small amount of doubt about our existence and purpose in this life, clearly and powerfully that doubt will go away.

For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
PSALM 139:13 AMP

If you need to rest, seek God. If you need answers, seek God. If you need guidance, seek God. If you need Him to take the lead in your life once and for all, seek God. Let God lead you in His ways, His everlasting way as David asked Him. All you have to do is seek, ask, knock and believe

5 Bible Verses to remember this Christmas

Christmas time can be overwhelming and sometimes with the hurry of the season, the gifts, the family reunion, all the planning and preparation we can end the day exhausted. I have been there. Christmas is something, and sometimes peace is not exactly what some people live during the holidays. We must remember the reason for the season and rest in the promises of God also during Christmas.

The bible, the book that contains the Word of God, the alive and effective Word for all of us, gives us 5 bible verses that will help us rest, receive new strengths and continue the journey. HERE there are 5 bible verses that you and I must remember this Christmas.

1. I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose–I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
PHILIPPIANS 4:13 AMP

2. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power.
ISAIAH 40:29 AMP

3. ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
ISAIAH 41:10 AMP

4. Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence].
1 CHRONICLES 16:11 AMP

5. The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.
PSALM 28:7 AMP

There is no better place we can be this holiday season than in the presence of God. Seeking his strength, his guidance, resting in Him and praising his name. Christmas time is an amazing time, but the time with God is vital to really enjoy the season.

Look for his face, seek him always, praise him every moment!

How obedience will lead you to a victory

I believe that one of the things we can learn from our childhood is to be obedient to our parents and follow instructions. At the same time, two things are totally difficult to do, but they are possible to achieve if we propose it. Throughout my life I have been obedient and disobedient, I have followed instructions and I have not followed instructions. We’ve all done it, right?

How obedience will lead you to a victory

Making the right decision to be obedient and follow God’s instructions will lead to great victories. In the Bible there is a story (one of my favorites) in which God clearly shows that He does give instructions that can lead us to secure victory.

In chapter 6 of the book of Joshua, we see how God leads his people to conquer Jericho. A walled city, which without the help and guidance of God could not have been conquered for sure!

God gives clear and very specific instructions to Joshua on how to conquer this city. You can read all the details here. One of the instructions given by God to Joshua was:

“You shall not shout [the battle cry] nor let your voice be heard nor let a word come out of your mouth, until the day I tell you to shout. Then you shall shout!”

That was a moment of waiting. It was a clear instruction to make no noise until notified. It was part of the plan. And to fail or disobey in this instruction of God could cost them the conquest of a city, which God said that he had given this city into their hands.

How many times have we waited on God, obediently following his instructions? Honestly, I know I’ve lost battles for not waiting. I’ve lost battles for not following the instructions.

Is it impatience? Will it be despair? Do we want to take control? Will we have no faith? Do we not trust in God’s plan?

None of them are excuses for not being obedient, when we know that in obedience there is blessing. If we know that God has given us something in our hands, and tells us to follow some instructions, we must follow them in order to obtain what He promised to us.

Are you in the moment of waiting on the Lord? Is God asking you to do something while you wait? Are you being obedient?

For the Woman who prays for a Child

Maybe while you read this post you are living this experience. Perhaps you have already lived the experience and you are the women who are now praying for a child. If you lived the experience or you are going through the process, I know what you are living and feeling. I am a woman who prays for a son the same as you.

For the Woman who prays for a Child

A woman may have several reasons why she can not get pregnant. It can be due to physical or genetic problems, among others. No matter the reasons, every woman who has gone through this brings with it an emotional load that is often found in the depths of her being.

Some women speak it and express it with their family or friends. Others only pray to God so that the longing of their heart is answered. There is a woman in the Bible who prayed with bitterness of spirit for a son. She was wise enough to recognize that if she prayed to God He would answer her request. Not only that, but she knew that she should leave his emotional load on the altar.

That woman is Hannah.

Hannah inspires you and me to wait patiently for God. It teaches us that we should pray and pray and pray until our request is answered by Him. If we pray we must be prepared to receive God’s response in different ways. God can heal us, God can bring life to our wombs, God can open doors and opportunities for adoption, God can do as He wants to do in our lives.

For the Woman who prays for a Child 2

If we long and patiently wait for His perfect will for us, He will surely put into our hands what we desire in His time.

My experience has been, long times of prayer and waiting, pouring out my heart, my sadness, my anguish and my yearnings on the altar with God. He alone can fill my voids, He alone can bring answers to my prayer. If you are a woman who prays for a child, surely God will answer your prayer. You will not know how, nor when but you can receive healing in your soul and your emotions in His presence.

But Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman with a despairing spirit. I have not been drinking wine or any intoxicating drink, but I have poured out my soul before the Lord….. So the woman went on her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. (1 Samuel 1-28)

Do not give up to your prayer, do not give up to your faith, do not surrender in your dreams.  Always remember that God has plans of good for your life. Do not give up!
