Encouraging children from an early age to be grateful and thank God is important. God teaches us in His word that we should always give thanks. That is part of our Christian life and worship to Him.

In these days I have been evaluating several books that we can use for this purpose. Involving children in reading is vital. The first book that our children should know is the Bible. The bible is inspired by God, useful for teaching on many topics. However, there are several books inspired by the Word of God with beautiful illustrations that our little ones can use. Below I will share with you at least 5 books that can be of great help to you.

These books can help you to teach and encourage your kids about thanks giving:

These books can be part of your library and you can use them at any time. Giving thanks to God and having a grateful heart is one of the best teachings we can give to our children. We must encourage them to be grateful all the time!

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His compassion and lovingkindness endure forever!Psalm 107:1

You can take the day OFF!

The Bible says in Genesis 2:2 that God rested once He completed his work. We also are allowed to rest and take the day off!

The Bible says in Genesis 2:2 that God rested once He completed his work. We also are allowed to rest and take the day off!

And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

The word “rest” means to cease work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength. This means that resting is powerful and necessary for us! If God rested, why we can’t rest too? It’s a healthy habit that will help us to continue with our every day chores.

The bestselling author Robert Morris shares with us in his book “Take the Day Off” this truth and the benefits of it! How we can rest and how beneficial can be.

Reading this book has been of great benefit to me. Being able to understand the nature of rest and how God did so. This book is part of a study group on Facebook. During the month of November they will be studying this topic further.

God rested, you can do it too! Join the Faithwords Book Club! #Faithwords #TakeTheDayOff #RoberMorris

Having a reading time with our children before bed can be a challenge. Today we live surrounded by many distractions that do not edify. Having a time to share with family, or between parents and children before going to bed is healthy. Having a devotional time or reading the word of God is even more so.

Today I want to share with you this wonderful book that came to my hands “Night Night Devotions” by Amy Parker. In the era of technology that we are living, family sharing time has been affected. We no longer take time to talk face to face, but we are very focused on cell phones. We have stopped enjoying other things that add more value to the family.

I want to share simple and creative ways in which we can enjoy all together as a family. Different things we can do. This post intends to share some great ideas from the book “52 Uncommon Family Adventures” by Randy Southern. Let’s see!

This book is a practical tool for parents (that’s I love the most). I am in need of options and ideas to create beautiful memories in my family, specially with a 1.5 year old boy playing around. In this time we are living I want him to experience other activities other than using a phone, watching TV or playing video games. I know that in a moment of his life that is going to happen. But, what of the things that I can sow in him from such an early age?

Here is where this book enters to give me ideas and options to connect with my boy with different activities that we both can enjoy. I love scrapbooking and all paper crafting projects. While I was reading this book one the activities that caught my attention was “Writing Thank-You Notes” . We can give words of affirmation, give thanks, say “I love you” in a different creative way.

Another activity that I liked was “Cities to Explore”. There are moments that we love to stay at home, but sometimes we just want to explore and explore. That’s the perfect moment to learn something new from another place near us. This book challenges your family to: “see many different cities, towns, villages and municipalities you can visit in a single day”. It sounds exhausting but fun!

You can buy gifts for the members of the family while your explore other places. Tell stories or sign songs while in the car.

Other ideas or activities in the book are:

** Hide and Seek

** Interviews

** Toilet Paper Olympics

** Indoor Camping

You can read an explanation of each one of these activities and much more in the book! Join below for a chance to win one book, you will love it! If you want to purchase this book visit this LINK

Family time does not have to be boring! Make lifelong memories with these simple and creative ideas. #52UncommonAdventures
