Bible Journaling is one of my favorites things to do. I can have a bible study, a devotional and a creative time all in one! – Recently I’ve been practicing with incorporating Index Cards to my Bible Journaling creative process. Today, I want to show you how to make your own index cards for Bible Journaling.

I’ve seen a lot of Memory Dex cards around the web and I loved the idea of making my own (because I don’t have those lovely cards). I wanted to use the supplies that I already have without spending to much. Here’s how I did it!

Make your own index cards for Bible Journaling

The first thing we need to do is look around the supplies we already have. I used the following materials:

Now that we have the materials, I started cutting two pieces of scrapbook paper with the cutter.

Then, I used the Envelope Maker to cut the corners of the piece of paper and also to make the TAB. See the pictures for references.

  • 1- Cut the piece of scrapbook paper
  • 2- Cut the corners with the Envelope Maker Punch
  • 3 – Make the tab with the Envelope Maker Punch
  • 4 – Cut the rest of the paper next to the tab with the cutter

Once I have my index card prepared I start decorating them with the supplies listed above.

Once I have my index card decorated with a few supplies I added a Psalm I’ve been studying. Also, I used my newest bible journaling printableCrowned with Love” available for purchase at my Etsy Shop. It’s an Instant Download at an affordable price.

3 Bible Journaling Printables to Illustrate your Faith

Bible Journaling is one of my favorite hobbies. When I discovered this I was fascinated to be able to integrate art and creativity with faith. I had always had my bible full of notes and drawings. But I never thought that was bible journaling. In these weeks I gave myself the task of sitting down and making my own printables. And this was the result.

I used my tombow markers to draw those topics that I had in my mind about the bible. Autumn is here and it is one of my favorite times, so I decided to create one about thanking God, inspired in Psalm 106:1.

Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever! – Psalm 106:1

I have so many things to thank God for. God is a God of miracles, of then impossible. So I created a printable focused on the greatness and miracles that God does. Because He is a God of miracles.

Also, I woke up one morning with a Bible verse in my mind. That passage of scripture that Jesus is talking to his disciples and Peter answers: where are we going? If you have words of eternal life.

Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You [alone] have the words of eternal life [you are our only hope]. John 6:68

Giving Thanks to God

Thanking God for all his goodness with us is an expression of the grateful heart. Giving thanks to God changes all things, changes us inside and transforms our outer atmosphere.

Thanking God for all his goodness with us is an expression of the grateful heart. Giving thanks to God changes all things, changes us inside and transforms our outer atmosphere.

The Bible says in Psalm 100:4

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.

Source

The Bible urges us to thank God at all times. We must always enter his presence by thanking him.

There are two things that denote our thanksgiving. First, we manifest our total dependence on God. Second, we express our gratitude to Him for his works in our lives.

Giving thanks is a way to praise God. And according to the Word of God we can do it in many ways. How we can do it?

  • Signing
  • Praying
  • Giving to others
  • In all circumstances
  • With our brothers and sister in the faith

Why are you grateful today? What reasons do you have to thank God, not in a given season, but at all times?

May our hearts, thoughts and actions always manifest the gratitude we have for God and his wonderful works.
