I usually read the bible in the mornings, after my early morning prayer time. This routine has turned out very well for me, since I start my day giving it to God and filling my heart with His word. If you don’t do it yet, I recommend this routine, 10 to 20 minutes of your time with God first can change everything! Now, let’s take a deep look at the bible!

The (In)Courage Devotional Bible has great features. First, this bible has a short summary at the beginning of each book, which gives us a synopsis of what we are going to read. I like it a lot because it helps me connect the Word of God with my daily life. Reading the summary will help you a lot while reading each book. This bible has a welcoming appearance, invites you to sit down for a while and delve into the truth of the Word of God.

Second, it has a considerable space to make your annotations and even make bible journaling. I consider it perfect for bible journaling lovers. In my particular case, I always like to write, make notes and when I feel creative I practice bible journaling too. Always try to have near you some pens, markers, washi tape, tabs even a bookmark that will help in the journaling process.

Third, this bible focuses on women and provides short messages that help you in the process of understanding and studying women in the bible. We have so much to learn from every woman that it’s worth reading those short devotions.

Fourth, in each book you will find an interactive devotional in which you can answer questions according to the word and they will take you to apply it. You know that bible verse that says: be a doer!!! This is what you will really get the most out of the bible, that you end up being a doer of the Word, a light in the darkness, an open letter, an example to follow.

But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].
JAMES 1:22 AMP

Finally, it is a beautiful bible in color, easy to read, good font size and above all things contains the powerful and effective word of God for our lives.

  1. Great post. I developed a strong love for the Bible at a very young age. When I was in the secondary school, I had this Bible that I marked with different colours: warnings in red, promises in green, commandments in purple, something like that. Thanks for pointingnout how our time with God through His word can bless us more.
